WORKSHOP MEETING
MAY 20, 2008
The regular scheduled workshop meeting of the Mayor
and Committee of the Township of Oxford was held on
May 20, 2008 in the Township Municipal Building, 11
Green Street, Oxford, New Jersey.
Mrs. Riley announced that the meeting had been
properly advertised in compliance with the OPMA of
1975 and called the meeting to order at 6:15 PM.
In attendance were Bonnie Riley, William Bray and
Sheila L. Oberly. N. Angelo Accetturo was absent.
The Committee reviewed the bills on the May 2008
Bill List.
The following bill was held:
Tilcon $125.00
On motion by Mr. Bray and seconded by Mrs. Riley on
roll call vote to approve the remainder of the bills
listed on the Bill List.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
WHEREAS, Section 8 of the Open Public Meeting Act,
Chapter 231, P.L. 1975, permits the exclusion of the
public from a meeting in certain circumstances, and
WHEREAS, this public body is of the opinion that
such circumstances presently exist.
1. The public shall be excluded from the discussion
of any action upon the hereinafter-specific subject
matter.
2. The general nature of the subject matter to be
discussed is: potential litigation (Stuart Kellner)
and contractual (PBA Contract).
3. It is anticipated at this time that the above
stated subject matter will be made public at the
conclusion of the litigation. The motion carried
with the following roll call vote.
On motion by Mrs. Riley, seconded by Mr. Bray and
passed on roll call vote to enter into Executive
session at 6:40 PM.
Entered into open session at 6:55 PM, on motion by
Mr. Bray and seconded by Mrs. Riley. No Official
Action Taken.
Mr. Bray said in reference to the bill for The
Warren County League of Municipalities in the amount
of $78.00 ($26.00 each) to attend a meeting on May
29, 2008 at Bello Giorno. He stated, that in the
future, his suggestion would be that only a member
of the Township Committee and one representative
from the Land Use Board meeting be allowed to attend
at the cost to the Township. The representative from
each board or committee that attended can bring back
information from the meeting and inform the other
members on the board.
On motion by Mr. Bray and seconded by Mrs. Riley to
adjourn the meeting at 7:10 PM.
