Oxford Township Committee Meeting Synopsis for meeting held February 19, 2003 At the February 19, 2003 meeting of the Mayor and Committee of Township of Oxford the following occurred: The committee passed Ordinance #2003-1 on second reading allowing the Township Committee to exceed the 2003 cap on the budget if it becomes necessary. Ordinance #2003-2 was passed on first reading appropriating $35,000.00 from the Reserve for Capital Budget for the acquisition of Public Works Equipment. Second reading public hearing on Ordinance #2003-2 will be held on March 19, 2003 at or near 7:30 PM. John Carlton for the Pollution Control Finance Authority of Warren County presented his report to the Township Committee on the findings of the study conducted by the Authority on the smells around Oxford and White Township and the remedy they have proposed. Copies of the report may be obtained from the Township Clerk at the Township Municipal Building, 11 Green St. Oxford. For garbage pickups on Monday the recycling will be the 4th Thursday of each month, with the exception of November & December which will be the next day (Friday because of the holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas) For garbage pickups on Tuesdays the recycling will be the second Thursday of each month. The contract for recycling for 2003 was awarded to Second Chance Co, Inc. from Delaware, NJ. The Mayor was authorized to sign an application for Green Acres Acquisition Grant. |
