Oxford Police
charged the same man twice in 3 days for driving while suspended. On 9/4/04, Ptl
Robert Yeisley stopped a vehicle driven by Juan L. Hernandez for speeding on
Mine Hill Rd. A subsequent check of Hernandez drivers license revealed it to be
suspended. A passenger in Hernandez vehicle was also arrested as a military
deserter, wanted by the US Navy. Hernandez passenger, Mark Weaver was eventually
turned over to US Navy Police. Hernandez was charged with speeding and having a
suspended license and released. On 9/6/04, Ptl. Yeisley observed Hernandez
vehicle traveling on Pequest Rd. Hernandez was stopped again and issued a
summons for driving while suspended and also for having an expired registration.
Hernandez was again released pending court.
